Moffat County Local Marketing District
Voters approved the creation of the Moffat County Local Marketing District (MCLMD) in 2015, which administers a 4% lodging tax on rooms an accommodations within the boundaries of Moffat County.
MCLMD supports, enhances and encourages initiatives that create economic diversification, economic development, and economic stability for Moffat County; including the promotion of Moffat County as a premier recreation and tourism destination.
Funding Source
On November 3, 2015, Moffat County voters passed measure 5A to create a Local Marketing District with a 4% tax levied on lodging establishments (hotel room, motel room, vacation rentals) within the boundaries of Moffat County.
Lodging providers collect the tax from guests and then submit it to the state tax agency on behalf of the LMD.
